Welcome
Founded and grown in Maryland and DC! I’m Molly Zametkin, LCSW-C the founder and operator of Equal Harbor Consulting and Counseling. I’m an independently licensed social Worker, LCSW-C and clinical supervisor registered in MD, with a lifelong passion for creating and curating environments that nurture the mind, body, and spirit. I am a trauma therapist by training, and I specialize in adolescent and family treatment, mental health leadership and business operations, and the complex interplay of the mind and body. I am also a certified yoga teacher and a Maryland local with a background in research training from NIH, school settings in ACPS and DCPS, PHP and IOP family treatment in Rockville, intervention training, and Outpatient private practice.
I am currently accepting new clients for therapy, 1:1 coaching, and consultation. I offer coaching nationally, and I provide therapy for clients in the state of Maryland. Consultation is offered to nation-wide clients, but may be limited by jurisdiction based on the subject. As a smaller part of my work, I assist clinicians and organizations with re-inventing their office spaces to fit the needs of their practice. I accept new Clinical Interior Design clients quarterly, and maintain a waitlist as needed.
Clinical and Coaching Approach
In my therapeutic practice, I employ evidence-based techniques tailored to each individual's unique circumstances, fostering a safe and supportive space for self-exploration and growth. Together, we navigate the delicacies and complexities of life's challenges, both uncovering insights and also developing coping strategies to promote your resilience and well-being. I’m EMDR and ABFT trained, Ferentz trauma trained (L1 and Healing Leadership Supervision Training), healthcare leadership trained, and I completed 200 HR yoga teacher training with DDY in 2015. Prior to my graduate social work career, I worked for The National Institute of Health - The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism and The National Institute of Mental Health, and so my approach to therapy is often informed by my passion for research and evidence-based practice.
My clinical specialties are acute care, family crisis, ADHD, mood and anxiety disorders, neurodivergent youth and young adults, parent coaching, and trauma. I also specialize in holistic assessments for children, teens, young adults, parents, and families. If you or a loved one are experiencing issues with your mental health, I offer in-depth assessments to help you determine if me or someone in my network may be the right fit to offer you on-going therapy, treatment, or coaching. I accept new adolescent and young adult clients for for telehealth appointments, please be sure to complete the contact form at the top of this page to schedule an appointment.
Clinical Interior Design
With my clinical background and a keen eye for aesthetics and functional design, I blend my expertise in clinical operations with my love for interior design to help clinicians reinvent their office spaces. The spaces we inhabit can either support or hinder the emotional growth and healing processes. When your office looks and feels warm, calm, and safe, both you and your clients will notice a difference in your therapeutic work.
Throughout my clinical training I’ve supported organizations, businesses, and individuals with re-designing and re-organizing their office spaces to foster growth and change. Clinical Interior Design addresses logistical needs of your space, but also considers the needs of their clientele accessing therapy. Whether it's redesigning a clinic, or revamping a home workspace, I believe that thoughtful design has the power to enhance our practice, and re-fresh and elevate mood. Each project is a collaborative journey, where we work closely to translate your vision into reality. Please complete the Contact form to schedule a free consultation to learn more!
